Avakon Announces Sponsorship of Classroom Modernization Initiative at the 2nd Primary School of Voula
In response to a request submitted by parents and members of the educational staff of the 2nd Primary School of Voula, Avakon has announced its intention to fully fund the renovation and modernization of two sixth-grade classrooms through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
Following a detailed assessment of the school’s needs and a series of discussions with the school administration, educators, and parents, Mr. Kosta Kioleoglou, Managing Partner of Avakon, approved the initiative, reaffirming the company’s commitment to supporting education and strengthening local communities.
The project aims to create modern, functional, and inspiring learning environments for students entering their final year of primary education. The planned works include the comprehensive refurbishment and upgrading of two classrooms that will accommodate sixth-grade students during the upcoming academic year.
A coordination meeting was recently held at the school, bringing together representatives of the school administration, members of the teaching staff, parents, and Avakon. During the meeting, participants reviewed the school’s current requirements, identified priority interventions, and established the framework for the implementation of the project.
The initiative will be fully funded by Avakon and carried out under the supervision of the school administration. Following the agreement reached by all parties, the school management and the School Director, Mrs. Balliakou -Lembesi, will now proceed with all necessary actions to obtain the required approvals, permits, and authorizations from the relevant authorities. The shared objective is to commence works as soon as possible and complete the project during the summer period, ensuring that the upgraded classrooms are ready to welcome students at the beginning of the new school year.
“At Avakon, we believe that responsible development extends beyond the buildings we create. It includes a commitment to supporting the communities in which we operate and investing in initiatives that create long-term social value,” said Kosta Kioleoglou, Managing Partner of Avakon. “Education is one of the most important investments a society can make, and we are proud to contribute to a project that will directly benefit students, teachers, and families.”
The classroom modernization project forms part of Avakon’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, through which the company actively supports local communities, educational institutions, athletic initiatives, and community events. Through these actions, Avakon seeks to promote education, youth development, wellbeing, participation, and social cohesion across the Athens Riviera and the wider Attica region.
As a company deeply connected to the areas in which it develops and invests, Avakon remains committed to creating value beyond real estate—supporting initiatives that improve quality of life, strengthen communities, and contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive future.
